Material Change Institute Celebrates the Launch of Class VI

WRITTEN BY MATERIAL CHANGE TEAM

The future of investing is being shaped by leaders with broader perspectives, deeper expertise and a commitment to meaningful impact. Today, Material Change Institute is proud to welcome its newest cohort of Fellows: Class VI.

Material Change has grown into a global community of more than 120 Fellows representing diverse industries, investment pathways and perspectives. With the launch of its sixth class, the program continues to build a more inclusive investment ecosystem driven by collaboration, global connectivity and expanded access to opportunity. Each new class builds upon the momentum of those before it, further strengthening the Institute’s growing impact alongside the ambitions and leadership of its Fellows.

A New Class of Investors and Industry Leaders

Class VI brings together 26 Fellows spanning expertise in healthcare, climate, finance, infrastructure, AI, quantum and more. The cohort includes physicians, operators, and technologists whose expertise ranges from sports medicine and neurology to frontier technologies and emerging investment strategies. United by a shared belief that stronger investment outcomes come from broader perspectives, these Fellows reflect the evolving future of capital shaped by collaboration across industries and investment approaches.

The cohort’s global reach continues to expand, with Fellows representing communities and industries across North America, London and Africa, further strengthening Material Change’s international perspective and collaborative network.

“Our Class VI Fellows represent the kind of leadership the future of investing demands,” said Eve Blossom, Founder of Material Change Institute. “From healthcare and climate to frontier technologies and finance, each Fellow brings a unique perspective informed by deep expertise and diverse professional experiences. Together, they are helping redefine how capital is deployed, what innovation gets funded and who has a seat at the table.”

Building an Investment Ecosystem Different by Design

Since launching its first Fellowship class, Material Change Institute has focused on supporting investors across 15 distinct pathways in early-stage investing — from angel and venture to fund of funds, impact investing, search funds, and beyond. Alumni have gone on to launch funds, join investment firms, advise startups, serve on boards and drive capital toward transformative solutions. Class VI reflects the continued expansion of the Institute’s vision and impact.

“These past years, Material Change Institute has built far more than a fellowship program, it has cultivated a global community of investors and leaders who are deeply committed to shaping a better future,” said Nathan Shedroff, Material Change Institute Board Member. “What continues to inspire me is the extraordinary caliber of people drawn to this community: thoughtful, ambitious and driven not only by innovation and returns, but by the opportunity to create meaningful, lasting impact through capital.”

As Fellows begin their yearlong journey, they will participate in immersive programming, mentorship opportunities and collaborative learning experiences designed to strengthen investment fluency while leveraging the unique value of diverse perspectives.

A Growing Global Community

What began as an ambitious vision to transform investing through representation has evolved into a thriving global network of investors, operators and industry leaders committed to reshaping the future of capital. Now entering its sixth class, Material Change Institute continues to prove that when more perspectives are included in investment decision-making, more transformative ideas, founders and solutions have the opportunity to succeed.
